Building bridges connecting disabled persons with the community by empowering them for a better life.

In 2009, The Little Flock launched “Life Together” center to rehabilitate and integrate persons with mental disabilities, from birth to 25 years of age, and help them realize their potential through advanced rehabilitation programs, as well as supporting their families by developing their skills and empower them to claim their rights.

“Life Together Center” is located in Deir El Barsha – Mallawi, one of the most underprivilaged villages of Minya governorate in Upper Egypt,.

Striving to enable persons with disabilities and their families to become self-reliant and to live with dignity.

Mission

1- Rehabilitating and integrating people with disabilities in their communities. 2- Empowering the disabled children and youth to become productive community members. 3- Conducting (health, motor skills, cognitive, vocational, social, communication and self-care) programs. 4- Supporting the families by developing their life skills to accept and deal with their children. 5- Empowering the families and raising their awareness for claiming the disabled rights. 6- Conducting (TOT) programs for trainers / teachers in similar entities. 7- Supporting other associations in introducing rehabilitations and integration services.

Our program focuses on three aspects

Persons with Disabilities

  • Early Intervention (birth – 4 yrs.).
  • Children Section (4 – 12 yrs.).
  • Youth Section (12 – 25 yrs.).
  • Learning Disabilities (7 -14 yrs.).
  • Individual sessions (7- 14 yrs.).

Families

  • To coordinate with the center in implementing the children’s home activities:
  •  1- Individuals consultation.
  • 2- Workshops.

Community

  • Early detection and intervention methods for disability prevention.
  • Raising awarness regarding the persons with disability’s rights.
  • coordinating with governmental and non governmental entities to improve services rendered to persons with disabilities in the community.
